A Memorial Service will be held for WILLIAM EDGAR RAGAN, 60, of Shreveport at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 10, 2004, in Centuries Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Pastor Roger Fankhauser of Shreveport Bible Church. Visitation will be Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Ed was born on May 7, 1943 in Nashville, TN and passed away on Friday, February 6, 2004 after a sudden illness. He resided in Shreveport most of his life. He was a Senior Professional Medical Sales Representative for MedPointe Pharmaceuticals for over 30 years.
Ed loved cooking cajun food and gardening.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Glenn Walker Ragan and Alvyn Roland Ragan. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Diane; three daughters, Tonya Denise Chapman and husband Ken of Crawford, TX, Shelly Dawn Clark and husband, Lorne of San Antonio, TX and Ashley Michelle Ragan of Tyler, TX; a sister, Mary Jo Canepa and husband Johnnie of Memphis, TN; a brother, Alvyn Roland Ragan and wife Donna of Shreveport and 5 grandchildren, Chase Chapman and Heather, James, Clay and Matthew Clark.
Honorary pallbearers will be Kyle Armstrong, Larry Daughtery, Jack Gulledge, Charles Sanders, Pat Loftus, Charles Murray and Bobby Lee.
The family would like to thank James G. Smith, M.D. and Jeffrey Bernard, M.D. for the care extended to Mr. Ragan. In-lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shreveport Bible Church.

Ed lived his life knowing there is "Victory in Jesus."
