JAMES LEE (JIMMY) TISDALE peacefully passed away August 3, 2003 after a short courageous battle with leukemia.

Jimmy was born August 18, 1941 in New Braunfels, Texas. He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Connell Tisdale and son, James Lee (Jimbo) Tisdale. Other survivors are his grandsons James Brandon Tisdale, Eric John Tisdale; sister, Sue Beschle and brothers, Gerry and Doug Tisdale.

He served his country with pride from 1960-1964 in the U. S. Air Force. He was a flight instructor for Ray Harvey Aviation for several years before becoming a pilot for Air Texas Airlines. In 1972 he went to work for Delta Airlines until his retirement as a C.S.A. in 1995.

He had a zest for life and lived life to the fullest. Being extremely talented and creative, many people have pieces of his woodwork, stained glass and craftsmanship in their homes and yachts. He was an accomplished dive master and sailor. He was a founding member of the American Mountain Men Association. Fess Parker "Davey Crockett" has one of Jimmy's custom, hand carved muzzle loader rifles. Jimmy loved his cats, family and friends. We will all miss him.

Thanks to our friends for the many prayers, calls, cards and visits during the last three months. Jimmy was touched by your thoughtfulness.

Special thanks go out to Emile Rousseau, doctors, nurses and staff at LSU Feist-Weiller Cancer Center for their wonderful care and concern. In lieu of flowers, send donations to Feist-Weiller Cancer Center, LSUMC, P. O. Box 33932, Shreveport LA 71130-3932.

A celebration of his life will be held 4 pm, Sunday, August 10th at the Gilliam UMC, Gilliam, LA. Officiating will be Rev. Emile A. Rousseau, Jr.
