Sadie Lucero Hill
SHREVEPORT, LA - Sadie Lucero Hill passed through this life on Sunday, March 16, 2014. She had an infectious smile that showed her love of life and her positive outlook.

Sadie was born on April 15, 1917 in Alexandria, LA to parents, Sam and Mary Medica and was one of twelve children. She was married to William "Bill" Lucero and lived in Shreveport the majority of her life. She and her husband owned four successful grocery stores, the last being Lawrence Street Grocery. After the death of her husband, William, she married Jarrell Hill.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her eleven siblings, her husbands, William Lucero and Jarrell Hill, and her eldest son, Tony Lucero. She is survived by two sons, Sam Lucero of Dallas, TX, William Lucero and wife, Randi of Little Elm, TX and daughter-in-law, Evelyn Lucero Whalen of Tyler, TX. She is also survived by seven grandchildren: Patti Grace and husband, Joe; Angela Werner and husband, Tab; Tony Lucero and wife, Karen; Jena Lucero Roberts; Kim Boring and husband, Mark; Jeff Lucero and wife, Joyce; Ashley Gonzales; ten great grandchildren: Samantha, Adam, Megan, Madelyn, Jacob, Sadie, Gage, Madison, Garrett and Tanner.

Sadie and her husband, William, will always be remembered for their Sunday meals each week at their home. Family and friends gathered and often 50-75 people would be fed. Everyone will forever remember her famous fried chicken, pasta and meatballs. Sadie was loved by everyone that knew her for her kindness and generosity. She will also be remembered as someone who was loved by all and her unconditional love for everyone, especially her family.

A memorial service for Sadie Lucero Hill will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Shreveport, LA with Father Charles Glorioso officiating.
