Services celebrating the life of Jessie Glenn "Sonny" Draper will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, July 26, 2013 at Life Church, 2222 Meriwether Rd, Shreveport, LA. Officiating will be Brother Gary Cavalier and Pastor Scott Holmes. Interment will follow at Centuries Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 25, 2013 from 6 PM to 8:00 PM at Rose-Neath Funeral Home on Marshall Street.

Sonny was born on August 13, 1943 in Portland, Maine and went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 23, 2013 in Shreveport, Louisiana. He was preceded in death by his parents Jessie Glenn Draper Sr. and Sybil Gourley Draper. Left to cherish his precious memory is his loving wife of 50 years, Christine Draper; children, Glenn Draper III, Christy Holden and husband Chris, Sandy Rushing and husband Don; brothers, Jimmy Draper and wife, Mary Ann, Bobby Draper and wife Cissy; grandchildren Dustin Draper, Ginni Draper, Summer, Brooke, and Haley Posey.

Sonny loved his family and his grandchildren and was a faithful member of his church. He took over ownership of his father's business, Shreve Trim, where he worked until his death. Sonny was an active member and President of Rut-In Buck Hunting Club. He was an avid outdoorsman and was an active hunter and fisherman. He also enjoyed gardening and his best friend Mr. Happy (his Westie).

Honoring Sonny as pallbearers will be Jim Coon, Jess Griffith, Larry Wise, Ricky Broom, Doug Randolph and Ed Fields.
