SHREVEPORT, LA - Graveside services will be held for William "Bill" Richard Green, 70, Friday 10:00 a.m. May 9, 2014 at Memorial Garden North Cemetery in Blanchard. Bro. Bob Moore will officiate. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, May 8, 2014 at Rose-Neath Marshall Street Funeral Home.
Bill was born August 17, 1943 in Blanchard, LA to William and Stella Green and passed away on May 7, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents. Left to cherish his memory is his son, William J. Green; daughter, Terrie Green Hamblin and her husband, Tim E. Hamblin; grandchildren, Andriana Shader, Richard William Wilson, Hayley Beaird, Nathan Hamblin and Aaron Hamblin; 5 great-grandchildren and his brother, Robert Alan Green.
Bill served on the Shreveport Police Department for over 20 years and retired as a Captain. He was a devoted father and grandfather.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the Shreveport Police and Firefighters Memorial Fund or to donor's choice.
