I received this note today from Mary Lynn Tuminello Johnson updating the status of her knee replacement surgery.
Hello Everyone!
Let it be known that this is my second attempt at getting an email out. Grrrrrrrr. I had just finished the note and something took the machine away from me, lost the message and shut down. The WiFi here at the rehab hospital is very slow which adds to the frustration.
Anyway, I am reporting on my rehab for the left knee replacement. I have been at this facility since last Thursday, late afternoon. It appears that I am doing very well on my progress for "range of motion." Today, Thursday, there will be a review of my records and a final decision made on my leaving. I might be able to leave this afternoon. I hope so. I am ready to go home.
Phillip will become my number one nurse. He is good at it but would not, I repeat, would not take the job! Going home means new challenges but we can take those as they arise.
Phillip will bring the van which will make my transport easier. I think he got it cleaned for the occasion.
I have had more intense therapy this time around so maybe that is why I am ready earlier to go home. I am able to get around with help of the walker. I am fully independent in my personal care and movements.
I will sign off here and the next communication you get from me will be from home. Yea!
Mary Lynn
