Bill W. Henderson, Jr.

This obituary is for the son of classmate Judy Nolte Henderson and her husband Bill Henderson. Please keep them in your prayers.

Bill W. Henderson, Jr., 45, entered into eternal peace on December 1, 2014. Bill was born November 23, 1969 to his loving parents that he adored, Billy and Judy Henderson. He was a life-long resident of Shreveport, LA.

As a small child, Bill had big dreams of becoming a Police officer and upon graduating from Southwood High School; he passionately pursued a career in Law Enforcement.

In 1993, he became a loving and devoted father to his daughter Kourtney. Bill adored her as much as she adored him. Kourtney was his world and his favorite accomplishment.

Bill was a devoted husband recently married to Tara, "his babe", May 24, 2014. His happiness was evident to his friends and family. Bill and Tara were excited about sharing their new life together as husband and wife. Bill spent the last few days decorating the tree and getting their new home ready for Christmas, which was his favorite time of the year. There was never a dull moment with Bill. Every day was an adventure. Every time you saw him he was smiling. He was a friend to everyone he met and had a heart of gold.

Bill is survived by his wife, Tara Henderson; daughter, Kourtney; parents, Billy and Judy Henderson; sister, Kelli Fowler and Brian Watson; in laws, (late) Stan and Dona Woodard; numerous family and friends that loved him. In honor of Bill his pallbearers will be Jimmy Schimberg, Jeff Dittman, Jason Ferguson, Danny Wagner, Braden Brown, Heath Mathes, Steven Farmer, and Mike Young. Visitation for Bill will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, December 4, 2014 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel and funeral will be 12 noon Friday, December 5, 2014 at the funeral home located at 2500 Southside Drive, Shreveport, LA 71118.
