JOHN W. "JOHNNY" ROBERSON, 59, of Custer, S. Dakota died May 27, 2002 unexpectedly after a brief illness. He was a resident of Shreveport for 55 years and a retired Shreveport Firefighter as was his father before him. He was of the Baptist faith and was also a Mason. Johnny loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter.

He was preceded in death by his father, C. L. "Red" Roberson and his mother, Yvonne Roberson.

He is survived by his son, John Grady Roberson of Custer, S. Dakota; sister, Janet Dubose of McKinney, TX; brother, Clyde L. Roberson and his wife Pat of Bossier City, LA; two nieces and one nephew; many friends, old and new, as well as the brotherhood of firefighters.

Graveside services will be held Friday, May 31, 2002, in Custer, S. Dakota.
