As some of you may know classmate Joyce Graves Gadd has been hospitalized for several months with some difficult health issues. Helen Lindsay Rigg sent a note that Joyce is now in Promise Hospital in Bossier. Joyce’s husband Roy Gadd told Helen that folks could call him at (318) 745-2819 before 8:00pm if they want to get an update on Joyce’s progress. Roy also mentioned to Helen that he would appreciate your prayers for Joyce.

Mary Frances Kelly Morris
Born 10-29-1952 Shreveport, Louisiana
Member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, Shreveport, La.
Blanchard, LA - Francis was born on October 29, 1952 and passed peacefully at Grace Home on January 23, 2012, surrounded by family and friends after a short battle with lung cancer. Frances was a life-long member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. The visitation will be at on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at Rose-Neath Marshall Chapel Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating will be Father Joseph Kallookalam of St. Pius X Catholic Church. A service will be held at St. Pius X at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 26, 2012 with burial to follow at Blanchard Memorial Gardens.
Frances attended St. Pius X Elementary School and graduated from Northwood High School in 1970. Shortly after graduating, she married the love of her life and best friend, Roy. After her children left home, Frances obtained her certification and embarked on a new career as a home health care assistant. Frances began an 18 year career with Ark-La-Tex Home Healthcare that lasted until her diagnosis of cancer in December 2011.
Francis was preceded in death by her father, Walter S. Kelly; mother, Ann Busby Kelly Graham; father in law, Ollie Morris, Jr.; brothers-in-law, Robert S. Vandiver and Glen Dale Morris; and niece, Kathy Vandiver. She is survived by her husband and best friend of 39 years, Roy Gene Morris and mother in law, Everlena Morris; sons, Brian Keith Morris, Scott Morris; daughter, Elizabeth Morris McGinty; grandsons, Chase Andrew Morris, Dalton, Cole and Peyton Morris; granddaughters, Jordan and Brianne McGinty, sisters, Patti Vandiver, Jo Ann Witkowski and husband, Ron, Sylvia Guyton and husband, John; brothers Walter Lynn "Sonny" Kelly and wife, Patti; and Danny Gerard Kelly; sister-in-law, Myrna Wisdom and numerous nieces and nephews.
Frances was a loving, compassionate lady that loved her family above all else. She had many talents, but the one for which she will be sorely missed is her love for cooking and the wonderful dishes that she would happily serve. She dedicated her life to caring for others. For several years, Frances traveled the back roads of North Louisiana tending to the needs of the homebound, but for her those people were not patients or clients, they were friends of an extended family. She was always willing to put their care before her own. She delivered not only the professional care to those lucky enough to be on her route, but food and drink. But, more importantly, Frances provided them with the love and kindness they needed and deserved in their aging years. All of her family will truly miss the one person in the family that lived life with only one thought in mind, which was to serve others and make them laugh.
The family wishes to express their special thanks to the nurses at Christus Schumpert and Grace Home for their care and kindness.
Honoring her as pallbearers will be Michael Guyton, Ryan Guyton, Patrick Kelly, Beau Witkowski, Jimmy Kelly and Ryan Kelly.

Great Wallpaper Images For Your Computer
Do you like to use different photo images as “wallpaper” on your computer monitor? If so, check out the photos of a professional photographer by clicking HERE. Here is how to view his photos once you get to them:
(1) Click on the first photo which is an unusual shot of the Taj Mahal. When you click on the photo it will open in a larger size with visitor comments showing on the right side of the page. If you want to maximize the size of the photo for viewing purposes just click on the diagonally positioned arrow near the bottom right of the photo area. That will hide the comments section, but the comments then pop up on the screen. But after about 4 pop ups they stop. Clicking on either of the little icons near the bottom right of the photo will take you back to the way it was when you started.
(2) There are forward and backward arrows on each side of the screen to move through the photos.
(3) If you want to download a photo click on the photo to open it in the larger view and then click on the Options link near the bottom left of the screen. Then click on Download Full Image. It will download to your computer so be sure you know what location it will be stored on your computer.
If I left out anything, let me know. Feel free to share this info with others who might like these photos. That is one reason the fellow put them online.

The Johnsons Are Home
Friends,
We are safely home and glad to be back. Always are after a lengthy trip. Always appreciate the USA even more with our travel.
Our flight back was uneventful...a good thing. On the way over the pond we had a screaming tot in our section of the plane who rarely stopped. No rest! On the way back, no “ankle biters,” a term we learned from our British friends. The flight over took 8 hours; we had tremendous tail winds. The flight back took 10 hours—headwinds.
We got to our house about 4:30 pm on Friday and decided that we wanted Mexican food. That was our dinner. We had some fine meals aboard Queen Elizabeth but are ready for our own southern cuisine and home cooking now. I have been craving a hot dog for 3 days!
This morning, up at 5 am, we began to empty the suitcases. Where are you when we need you??? I hate that job. Clothes are being washed, souvenirs sorted and the bags zipped up to go to the attic. Since we got up so early, we will probably need a nap this afternoon.
We’ve got the travel bug out of our system for a while. We haven’t even discussed where the next trip will take us. (Got to finish paying for this one, too)
Hope to see some of you soon and hear from others of you via email.
Love,
ML
Music Link Update
Next time you open the Music link on the class web site you may think that Google has installed a completely new process for playing music. However, what they have changed mostly is the way the music pages look. If any questions do come up drop me a note. I’m no expert on this stuff but I will do what I can to help.
One of the changes I like most is that you can now start a playlist and turn on a Shuffle feature that randomizes the order in which the songs play. Also, there seems to be more stability in the way the music moves from one song to another in a playlist. Hopefully, that will endure. Even though improved the player will occasionally “hang” on a song. Just go on to the next song since there is no easy way to know why the player stopped. It may not do it next time you play the same song. If it does I usually delete that song and find another version of it, or replace it with a different song.
If you are new to playing music in the background while you visit other web pages be sure to go to the Music on the Web Site link on the What’s New page of the web site. Print those instructions and keep them handy. They should answer most of your questions.

Another Email From Mary Lynn
Hello everyone,
We are on our last day of the sea journey and thank goodness it will be over at 7am our time tomorrow. We have been on rough seas since we left Cadiz, Spain. Phillip did not leave the stateroom for over 24 hours. We are both wearing our wrist bands, but for some reason he is experiencing light headedness. He has been eating bread mostly and an apple earlier today.
We are out of our room, obviously, and on Deck 1 near midship. This is supposed to be the most stable part of the ship with less roll. It is better but we are still moving from side to side. It is noon, January 4. Your time is 6am, January 4. We won't call you now!
We have had a great trip with the exception of these last two days. Have met some nice people, especially two couples from the UK. One lives near York in the northern part of the country and the other lives outside of London. They sit at tables for two right beside us in the main dining room. Each couple has bought a round of drinks in an upstairs lounge.
As always seeing another culture or two is the draw on these trips. We got to see real flamenco dancing in Cadiz. Very intense, very serious. It is an important part of Spanish culture. Even toddlers begin to move their hands in the way of the dancers.
Our next communication will be from home. In the morning we have to be ready to go by 8am and a Cunard coach will take us to Heathrow airport. We have a room at an airport hotel and will spend one night before the flight home on January 6. This afternoon and evening we will get serious about our packing. That will be fun! We will have to be creative with our packing and the purchases we have made.
Looking forward to seeing everyone again.
Love, ML

Happy New Year, everyone!
We are at sea today, January 1, 2012. Last night we were anchored off shore at Funchal, Madeira (Island) Portugal and saw their wonderful fireworks display at midnight. We went to the aft deck to observe and it was quite a sight to see. Apparently, Funchal is known for the display at New Years and several large ships were there with us. It was one of the nicest New Years we have spent together. Today we are at sea and will arrive in Cadiz, Spain in the morning. Then I think we have a bus tour to Seville, a few miles inland. Our trip is coming to its close. After Seville, we sail back to Southampton. We will spend the night in London before flying home on January 6.
Great trip!
Love you all!
Mary Lynn
