Mary Palmer Strange told me she recently learned that classmate Sue Vanlandingham Conte has passed away. I was able to find Sue’s obituary and it is posted below. Please keep Sue’s family in your prayers.

Visit Guest BookGORDONVILLE, TX - Sue Ellen Conte, 68, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, June 6, 2012 in Gordonville. Private family services were held at Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro with cremation arrangements under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home.
Sue was born July 29, 1943 in Pampa to Wes and Bettye Sue (Blackwell) Vanlandingham. She graduated from Shreveport schools and worked as an underwriter in the mortgage business for several years. On April 27, 1965, Sue and Matthew Conte were married in Redlands, CA.
Mrs. Conte is survived by her husband, Matthew J. Conte of Gordonville; son, Michael Conte and wife Shelley of Little Elm; daughter, Michelle Maurer and husband Michael of Prosper; three grandchildren, Logan Conte of Midland and Peyton and Ethan Maurer, both of Prosper; mother, Bettye Sue Clegg of Baton Rouge, LA.; sister, Sharon Dupuy and her husband Tom of Baton Rouge; and other family members. She was preceded in death by her father, Wes Vanlandingham.
