A major accident around 9:30 Saturday morning at South Lakeshore Drive and Highway 169 sent three people to the hospital.
Investigators with the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office Traffic Safety Unit said it appeared that a saltwater tanker traveling westbound on South Lakeshore didn't stop or yield at a stop sign, and as a result, a van traveling southbound ran under the tanker truck.
The driver of the 18-wheeler, Travoski Kevonne Powell, 37, and the six year-old passenger in the van were taken by ambulance to LSU Hospital. The driver of the van, Kellie Anthony, 39, was airlifted to LSU Hospital where she is in critical condition.

According to Spate Anthony the van driver was his daughter in law, Kellie Anthony. His six year old granddaughter was also hospitalized, but another granddaughter who was in the van was not injured.
