The female eagle laid her first egg yesterday. She will probably lay two more so the “experts” say. I found her doing egg sitting duties this morning. When she raised up a little I got this snapshot showing the egg. Her brood patch (skin with no feathers) should be very near where the egg is located. The brood patch enables the eagle to keep the egg warmer than it would be if the feathers were still there.
