JOAQUIN, TX - Graveside services honoring the life of Geraldine Davis Bounds, 93, will be held Friday, July 8, 2011, 11:00 am, at Forest Park West Cemetery, in Shreveport. Officiating will be Reverend Harold Henson.
The family will meet with friends, Thursday, July 7, 2011, 4:00-7:00 pm at Rose-Neath Chapel in Logansport, LA.
Geraldine was born March 17, 1918 to Corhron and Alma Schollar Davis in Joaquin, Texas. She passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at her residence in Joaquin, surrounded by her loved ones.
Mrs. Bounds was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and was a wonderful homemaker. She loved her family dearly, and had a loving relationship with her Katrina rescued dog, Goober.
Preceding Mrs. Bounds in death was her husband, Pershing M. Bounds, her parents and a brother, Cohron Davis, Jr.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Myron Bounds, Don Bounds, and wife, Anne, and Dean Bounds; daughter LaFern Terrell and husband, Paul; 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Grandchildren will honor their grandmother by acting as pallbearers.

Our web site, www.fairpark53.com, has added a wonderful history of FPHS written and compiled by Charles Hickman, Class of '53, that I am sure you will enjoy reading. The history was first published in a booklet for the 2003 50th reunion of the Class of '53 which we called "The Golden Pow Wow." Charles and his wife, Patsy (Stewart) Hickman, live in Dallas and their e-mail address is hickman53@sbcglobal.net.

Please note that the Class Email Directory link has been removed from the class web site navigation bar. All classmates in our email list were provided the link to our new Email Directory via my 6/4/2011 email. Use whatever works for you to keep up with that link so you can use it when you need it. And please don’t share the link with anyone outside our class. Maintaining control over who has their email address is important to lots of our classmates. Sharing the link with those outside our class violates that trust.
