A walk that began at the Pacific Ocean in August 2010 is scheduled to come to an end this week on the North Carolina coast of the Atlantic Ocean. Jeff Rudisill, aka The Walkingman, can lay claim to having walked across America, about 2800 miles, for no other reason than he wanted to do it.

The Walkingman finished his 2,800 mile trip from the Pacific to the Atlantic on Saturday, January 22, 2011. It took him a total of 146 days to walk from Dana Point, CA to Emerald Isle, NC. He brought water from the Pacific and gave some to each of his grandchildren so they could pour it into the Atlantic. The pictures of that event looked like the grandkids enjoyed that.
