Update On The Walking Man

Jeff Rudisill, aka the Walking Man, has about 500 miles left on his walk across America. He has covered about 2,300 of the almost 2,800 miles he expected to walk when he set out from Dana Point, CA in late August 2010.

Jeff spent Christmas in the Milledgeville, GA area. He was joined by his wife, daughter, and 3 grandchildren as soon as they could after the big snow storm on the east coast over the Christmas holidays. After a day or so of rest he is back to his walking. He is camped tonight near Warrenton, GA and hopes to be in Augusta, GA by this Friday.

One of the interesting things about Jeff’s big adventure is he is in our age group, possibly a year older than most of us. Plus, he seems to be a genuinely nice guy. If you want to check out his blog just click on the following link – http://www.walkingman2011.blogspot.com/

  1. What amazes me about Jeff, isn't so much the walking but pushing that cart of gear, every step of the way. His cart weighs about 25 lbs. and his gear about 75 lbs. It weighed up to near 150 lbs. then his wife took some of his excess things home when they headed back home. He must have descended from JOB, in the Bible ?
