Update On Walking Man

I noticed in recent stats for the class blog that a good number of you had checked out the article I posted on 11/23/2010 about the fellow walking from CA to the east Coast. He is currently a little east of Monroe, LA and hopes to cross over into MS by this Saturday. Classmate Mickey Phillips got in touch with him by email today and I thought some of you might enjoy that exchange.

Hey Mick,

I love your comments on the blog, and appreciate your interest. I'm in Dunn tonite (as you prob already know), and expect to be in MS around Sat.........if the "crawfish eating cajuns" don't throw me in the swamp! Once upon a time, I tried a plate of crawfish........started out with a stack about 6" high, and when I finished still had about the same amount on the plate. Must be an art to eating those things. Take care and keep following.......Jeff.

Mickey Phillips:

Thanks Jeff,

I began to follow you when an old high school friend, Bill in White Settlement, TX was watching you. He, knowing I was in Monroe (Swartz  community), warned me to watch out for you, HA!

I forgot to warn you about the Ticks and Chiggers we have in Louisiana. Man, you are covering some ground and what amazes me, you are a couple years older than me and Bill. Proud of ya!

I know exactly where you are too. When you came through Start, LA I bet you didn't know that was the hometown of the country singer, Tim McGraw? Small world, huh! Tim's dad was the baseball pitcher, Tug McGraw.

Now, when you come back this way, I will teach you the old Push, Pull Method of eating those Crawfish. It's fast and you won't miss a bite!

You be real safe and if you need help, just scream!

Good Luck, Mick
