Judy reports that she spoke with Earle Valentine at the Mini Reunion and he told her about Linda Robertson Grissom (his cousin) who graduated with us having recently undergone two major back surgeries. Linda had a hard time through all of this, but her husband Stuart said they were hoping she could soon be moved to a rehab hospital a little closer to their home in League City, TX. The rehab should have Linda up and working on getting her strength back real soon. But she will be in rehab for a long while.

Judy asked for everyone to please keep Linda & Stuart in your prayers for the hard road to recovery Linda faces. Stuart told Judy he did check his emails as often as he could and would pass along any Get Well messages to Linda. So please send a Get Well card or email to Linda if and when you can. I know this would really be appreciated. Her email address is: stulin1@verizon.net. Her home address is in your class directory.

Thanks Judy for the update. Our thoughts and prayers are with Linda and Stuart from here forward for a healthy recovery.

I wanted to give everyone a run down on the events of the 46th year Mini Reunion that was held on Saturday, October 20, 2007. About 25 folks gathered at the Holidome on Friday night before the get together and enjoyed a fun night of visiting. Then at 1:00pm on Saturday about 100 folks came to the luncheon at Jan's River Restaurant. The food and service were both wonderful and many thanks to Ms. Jan for opening the restaurant early for us.

Everyone met up that evening at the Atrium of the Holidome for a fun evening of picture taking and just plain one on one visitation. There were many locals and out of towners that made up the fun crew. A group picture was "attempted" and also a group picture was taken of the folks from Claiborne Elementary School. Watch the website for all the pictures taken by different folks. A lot of old friendships were renewed and it was a very informal evening. Everyone came and went as they pleased. It was a fun time for all. Sunday morning about 20 folks ate breakfast together before heading home by automobile or airplane. Hopefully everyone had a safe trip home.

As part of our continuing efforts to reach all our classmates please pass this information along to any classmates you know who might not have internet access. We'd like to show them what we are doing as a class to stay in touch. Maybe you could even invite them over to your home and show them the information online. If you show them the website information we hope that will keep on getting more folks involved and help us have a nice turn out for our 50th year reunion. That is only four years away so please help keep folks connected if possible. Thank you for your help and participation with the 46th year Mini Reunion and hope you all had fun.

Joe Festervan's lovely daughter Susie sends her love to each of Joe's classmates from Fair Park. She wanted to know if anyone has any fond memories of Joe from his school days? If you happen to remember anything about Joe, please send the memories to me and I will be glad to forward them to Susie. As you probably remember Joe passed away on October 14, 2007, a week before our 46th year class reunion. He had been really looking forward to coming to the reunion and having a good time. May we never forget Joe and may we always have fond memories of him. God Bless Susie and the Festervan Family for remembering all of us.

My untold thanks to Linda Terry for all of her efforts on our behalf. My joy, delight, and totally fantastic thrill of visiting up close and personal with so many of you classmates, especially those first timers, or at least for me the first time to see you since school days. May we all keep on keeping on. My very best to each and everyone of you dear, dear souls.

Love and Best Wishes,
Camilla

I would like first of all to say a Great Big Thank You to all of the classmates who attended the 46th FPHS reunion Saturday night October 20th at the Holidome. I hope each of you had as much fun as I did and pray you all had a safe trip home. Now we are all left with fond memories for a long time to come of our Dear Friends. I appreciate everyone that has stood behind me and also for all the help offered to make this reunion a success. Our final total of folks was between 90 and 100 and I thought that turnout was great. Please stay in touch with me and keep the news coming for our News Blog page. Just click on my name on the left hand side of the News Blog page to send all the exciting news to me. We did miss you Bill, but I'm sure you'll get enough pictures from everyone that you'll feel like you were there. Thanks again to each of you for making this 46th year Class Reunion another success. Bill Roberts

Bill Roberts reports that the last weekend of September 2007 the HOG group from Jacksonville, FL did a sunrise on the Atlantic and sunset on the Gulf of Mexico on their Harleys. They cut across to FL Hwy 19 and went down the coast to Hudson, FL to their hotel,"INN On The Gulf." The group Bill was with took all 21 rooms. They were right on the Gulf and Saturday they went for a ride down the coast to Newport, Richey, Clearwater, St.Pete Beach, St.Petersburg, and Bradenton, and then back up Hwy 75 to the Brandon Harley Shop for a "Tee." That night they took pictures of the sunset and then had a Fun Party! The rest they did Bill says, "must stay in Hudson." What a trip he had.
