I am sending this to a few of the '61 FPHS grads who may remember me from our Linwood and FPHS days. We moved to Ferriday after my junior year when my father who was pastor of Caddo Heights Baptist moved to FBC Ferriday. However, even though I did not graduate with you Bill has included me in the list of '61 grads.

Attached is a picture of my wife, Sandy, with our four year old grandson Jake (click here) who was an angel in the Preschool Weekday Nativity at our church. I am pictured with our two new additions - granddaughters. Emma Grace on the left was born 12-10-07. Sarah Hazel on the right was born 11-25-07 (click here). Needless to say we are having a joyous Christmas. I wish the best to all of you during this holiday season. Larry Fields FPHS Class of '61 (honorary).

God Bless each of you as Larry and I send warm wishes to all for a Very Merry Christmas and Blessed New Year! We are sure looking forward to the next "mini-reunion" too in hopes that we will be right there with all of you!

And I have a special request. Please keep our 20 year old Grandson, Christopher, (also Johnny Kircus' Grandson) in your prayers as he serves his Third Tour in Iraq for our Beloved Country.

Sue Roark Henderson's Move To Florida

Sue provided the following information to share with everyone.

To all of my dear classmates . . .

YOU are among the greatest of my blessings. I have so many I cannot count them all, because of YOU. Love is the greatest of blessings and I felt it in abundance at our “Mini-46th”. During the past year God has blessed us richly with good health for all members of our family, and every material and physical need has been generously met.

We have found a home in Gainesville, FL after a quest which felt like it would have been better suited to the skills of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table. We start the New Year in our new home. I am already looking forward to our “Mini-47th”, and I want to thank you all for allowing me to be a part of this wonderful circle of friends which dates back for so many years. Let the good times continue for each and every one of us.

Mary Ann Davis McMasters sent a note that Orvalynn sends her greetings to everyone for a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Pat Hayes Smay

Pat Smay had a wonderful Thanksgiving with all her family together - grandchildren and great grandchild even. Pictures were made of everyone including a 5 generation picture with Pat, her Mother, sons, granddaughter and great grandchild.

Christmas will be a smaller affair, but just as enjoyable. Pat is having major surgery for a torn rotator cuff on December 27th. Please include her in your prayers and call or email to keep her from going insane while her shoulder is immobilized for six weeks! At least, it is not her right shoulder! She wants everyone to have a great Christmas and New Year’s and to be safe.
