Clark & Kay Visit Betty & RD in Lubbock

Kay (Kitchens) and Clark Smith spent the weekend of July 14 with Betty (Molcany) and RD Barber in Lubbock, TX. Coming from the Houston area, the Smiths were very appreciative of the dry west Texas weather. The four of us spent three days catching up on kids, grandkids, jobs, retirement, playing Double Nines dominoes, eating, and seeing the sights of Lubbock. Since we only had Saturday to see everything, we gave them what we call the 50 cent tour which mainly involved a lot of driving. Tradition is that anyone that visits Lubbock has a picture made with the huge Buddy Holly glasses displayed outside the Buddy Holly museum. Being the good sports that they are, they certainly didn't want to break with the tradition! Now that they know that Lubbock is the best kept secret in Texas, maybe it won't be so long between visits.
