As many of you know L.C. Anderson’s wife Clara recently had a stroke. She is now at home and thankfully getting better. Medical emergencies always heighten our awareness of health issues that we may not have paid a lot of attention to previously. In discussing with L.C. where to get reliable information to help in recognizing a stroke, it seems that one good source of general type information is the Snopes.Com website. Click on the title to this posting to go the stroke information on Snopes. The information Snopes provides is good for separating fact from folklore on how to recognize a stroke. Snopes also provides links to several other organizations that provide additional information on strokes. If you have a particular interest in learning more about strokes the WebMD website also provides extensive information. The link to that website is http://www.webmd.com/. Type "strokes" in the search box on the WebMD site to go to the information they provide.
If you have questions about any of the information you see on these websites I'm sure the old advice to "ask your own doctor" is still good advice.
