MERRYL DELL PRESSON, 62, departed this life at Christus St. Francis Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, LA on Wednesday, February 23, 2005 after a very long and courageous battle with heart disease. She was a hair dresser for several years in Shreveport, LA and has been a homemaker for the past 25 years.

Mrs. Presson was preceded in death by her son Jimmy Twitty and her father Edwin Ted Knott. She is survived by her husband Bobby Dale Presson, Sr. of Goldonna, LA; one daughter, Stephanie Crowder and husband Tim of Coushatta, LA; three sons: Eddie Twitty of Doyline, LA, Bobby Dale Presson, Jr. of Haughton, LA and Steven Michael Presson of Shreveport, LA; her mother Beulah Mae Cryer of Shreveport, LA; one sister, Peggy Jean Kyle ofGoldonna, LA; three brothers, Bobby Knott of Shreveport, LA, Ricky Knott of Oklahoma City, OK and Micky Knott of Oklahoma City, OK. She is also survived by five beloved grandchildren: Jeffrey Castle, Frankie Castle, Katie Twitty, Nicky Twitty and Taylor Presson as well as a large extended family and many friends and loved ones.

Services will be held at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home Chapel in Natchitoches, LA at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 25, 2005 officiated by her brother-in-law Rev. Harry L. Wales of Oklahoma City, OK. Burial will be in the Friendship Nazarene Cemetery in Robeline, LA. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home
